There is no planet B spelt out in scrabble letters with gold stars scattered on the table. Designed to show young voices.

When Alastair (aged 10) heard about Eco Donkey, he wanted to write some content on his opinions about climate change. As children are our future climate heroes, we are happy to include the valuable perspectives of young voices. If any other children would like to have their voices heard on this forum, please email your thoughts or tips on climate change to [email protected]

Why kids need to know about climate change and use their young voices

Kids need to think about this because, when they are older they will need to save the planet. The next generation is always better than the last so that means that each time more babies arrive in the world, adults need to help them learn to live simply.  I am the eldest child and I believe that there are many ways to save our beautiful planet using my young voice.

Like: 1. Destroying fewer trees.  2. Walking to places that you think are far but are close.  For example, if you need to get around a city take the bus or use a bike.  3. If you need to go shopping, how about you use a big tub from home for fruit and veg.  For anything plastic that you take home with you, make toys out of it for your kids or decorations!

I believe that kids should stop playing online and instead, pause to think more about their future.  I am worried that if people have kids, the planet is going to collapse for them in the future!!  They should also start helping immediately at the age when they start understanding why we must help our planet.  Then everyone and everything can live.

The answer here is to to = sustain and conker (I also love playing with conkers)

How I (and my family) help the planet

We went from two cars to one and we try to use our car less where I live, we take the public bus almost everywhere.  We try to walk to school.  We try to recycle everything we can and we expect you to do the same!

Though never forget, there is no Planet B.  I like that slogan.

If you are a kid, ask for an simplified life and a sustainable bedroom (parents should say yes)

Parents…firstly, congratulate your kids for thinking about the planet.  Then you put solar powered lights and a plant wall for fun.  Now put a water bucket for fresh water and you are done. Thank you for reading :-).
