When?: 1st – 4th August, 2024

Why?: This festival focuses on education about sustainable living and showcases eco-friendly technologies. It’s powered by renewable energy and emphasises community and environmental awareness.  It is the original off-grid festival!

 

3. Wilderness Festival

Where?: Oxfordshire

Why?: Wilderness Festival combines arts, music, and sustainable practices. It offers a range of eco-friendly activities and workshops.  The festival organisers have set targets for reducing their carbon footprint further in the future. 

 

4. Green Man Festival

Where?: Brecon Beacons, Wales

When?: 15th – 18th August, 2024

Why? : It’s half the festival name!  Green Man Festival aims to reduce its carbon footprint by a whopping 50% by 2025.  Currently fuelled by renewable energy sources and boosting plastic free policies, Green Man is making a great effort to be sustainable.

 

5. Shambala Festival

Where?: Northamptonshire

When?: 22nd – 25th August 2024

Why?: Known for its strong commitment to sustainability, Shambala has won numerous awards for its green efforts. The festival is 100% renewable-powered and has a “bring your own bottle” policy to eliminate single-use plastics and is meat and fish free!
